About the app#
RoadTrippin is a road trip planner for iOS and Android. Add your stops, see them on a map with driving routes and travel times, jot down notes, and keep a packing list — everything synced across your devices.
Trips can be shared with travel companions, who can view or co-edit the itinerary in real time.
Features#
🗺️ Trips & Stations#
Create a trip with a title and date range, then add as many stations as you like — campsites, towns, landmarks, petrol stops. Drag to reorder, set per-station date ranges, and give each stop free-text notes.
📍 Maps & Routes#
Every station with a location appears on the trip map. RoadTrippin automatically calculates the driving route between consecutive stations and shows the distance and estimated travel time for each leg.
✅ Packing List#
Each trip has its own packing list with checkboxes. Checked items collapse into a done section so the remaining items stay in focus.
🤝 Sharing#
Invite a travel companion by email. Assign them a role — viewer or editor — and they see the trip in their own app. Admins can change roles or revoke access at any time.
🔄 Offline Support#
Trip data is cached locally. If you lose connectivity, your itinerary stays accessible; changes sync automatically when you’re back online.

📦 Data we store#
RoadTrippin stores your email address and the trip data you create (trips, stations, notes, packing lists) on servers provided by Supabase. This data is necessary to sync your trips across devices and to enable sharing with other users.
🔐 Authentication#
Sign-up and sign-in are handled by Supabase Auth. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Session tokens are kept in secure local storage on your device.
📵 No tracking#
RoadTrippin currently uses no analytics, advertising identifiers, or third-party tracking of any kind. We may introduce limited analytics in the future to help improve the app; if we do, we’ll update this policy first.
🗑️ Account deletion#
You can ask us to delete your RoadTrippin account and all associated data at any time.
How to request — Email splash@appfros.ch from the email address registered to your RoadTrippin account, with the subject “Delete my account.” We may reply to confirm it’s really you before proceeding.
What we delete — Once we process your request, we permanently remove:
- your account and login credentials (email address, username);
- every trip you own and its contents — stops and places (including saved locations), dates, descriptions, icons, tags, notes, and packing lists;
- your profile details and profile photo;
- your access to any trips that were shared with you, and your email address from those trips’ shared-member lists.
Trips owned by other people remain theirs; we simply remove your access and your email from their member lists.
When — We action deletion requests within 30 days. Any residual copies in our encrypted backups are removed on our normal backup-rotation cycle, no later than 90 days after deletion.
Retention — We do not keep your personal data after deletion, except where the law requires us to.
🍪 Local storage#
A local database on your device caches your trip data for offline use. This data is only accessible by the app and is removed when you delete the app or your account.
